World Cancer Day
Yesterday, I had the pleasure of participating in the event organized by the “Carol Davila” University of Medicine and Pharmacy, dedicated to World Cancer Day. We discussed the vital roles of prevention, technology, and interdisciplinary collaboration in reducing the impact of cancer on patients and society.
In my intervention, I emphasized the importance of gynecological screening and early diagnosis, as well as the necessity for prevention to become a routine rather than an exception. Many forms of cancer can be prevented or detected early, and access to information and screening programs remains essential.
Meetings like this remind us that progress in oncology is not only about innovative treatments but, above all, about education, prevention, and the active involvement of each of us.
Together, we can transform prevention into a standard of care and save lives.
